Hormona at TechCrunch 2022: It’s a wrap!

Written by: Emma Matthews

Gang, it’s been a carazy couple of weeks for Team Hormona. We went to San Francisco, made the Top 20 Startups at TechCrunch 2022 AND we met Ricki Lake. Although that had nothing to do with TechCrunch — more on that very soon…

Stateside latest from Hormona

So, we thought we’d catch you up with the latest news from the States, courtesy of our amazing COO Jasmine Tagesson. But first, we need to let you in on some less-than-stellar news. We did not win TechCrunch. Before you get very upset on our behalf, please know that we’re super-pleased for everyone that made the final. And we’re just as proud that we were able to share such a huge stage with them.

TechCrunch was a first for Team Hormona, and Karolina and Jasmine absolutely smashed their presentation. Winning would have been amazing, but being there at all was the real prize for us. Hormonas of the world rejoice — you have been seen! So without further ado, here’s Jasmine’s exclusive take on our TechCrunch debut…

Jasmine’s TechCrunch wrap-up

“Ah, the whirlwind of running a tech startup! After an intense week in San Francisco with many stressful moments — but equally many moments of support and joy — we want to thank TechCrunch Disrupt for an amazing show.

Our first U.S. conference was a fantastic experience and such great exposure for Hormona. The opportunity to present our company and solution to thousands — if not millions — of people around the world was a true honor. And although we did not make the finals, the response has been great!

Over the course of the three-day event, we met so many other interesting startups doing some incredible things, especially in the green and climate tech space which, just like women’s health, is in desperate need of innovation! And even though we were on the exhibitor’s floor running our very own Hormona booth, Karolina and I also had a chance to listen to some amazing speakers and leaders. And came away feeling inspired, excited, and with tons of new knowledge.

We also met potential investors, partners, and women from all walks of life. TechCrunch gave us the chance to talk to and learn from them all, allowing us to continue growing the Hormona solution — and our mission to be the pioneer in everyday hormone healthcare!”

So there you have it, gang, TechCrunch was a success! And we’ve loads more big things on the way — if you’re not already on the Hormona app, why not? Come join the best hormone health community on the planet! We’ll see you there!

She has, since then, discovered that obsessing about her health doesn’t pay the bills, so she put her other obsessions - TV, True crime - to good use. She’s written for, among others, the Den of Geek, Buffy, CSI, Supernatural and Stargate Magazines, as well as the Crime and Investigation Network. She’s currently lamenting the coming end of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but thanks the universe that we’ve still got Drag Race. Even if Michelle Visage won’t talk to her…
