5 UK Yoga Festivals to Visit Late Summer 2018

There are now so many different yoga festivals and retreats that are appearing across the UK that are definitely worth visiting! Whilst it is now late in the summer there are still some great events coming up that are worth fitting in. If you have missed any of the big festivals that have happened earlier in the summer now is the time to catch up and get involved.

Exhale Festival

(24th– 27thAugust, West Sussex)

 This festival is great if you are after a real sense of community. Here you can allow yourself to fall into your completely natural state. Primarily this festival offers yoga classes and workshops but there will also be music throughout the weekend and movement and fitness workshops. For when you get peckish there will be loads of really great, high quality wholesome food stalls dotted around.

One Love Festival

(31stAug – 2ndSept, Somerset)

 This festival is super relaxed and accepting and is focused around performances of reggae and world music. Their ‘Field of Love’ is the place to be as it allows guests to get in touch with their wellbeing and find spiritual awakening. They will also be hosting loads of workshops covering yoga, poetry, Pilates, healing and massage. For those who can’t sleep in, they will also be offering early morning meditation.

Back in 1978 the One Love Peace Concert was held in Kingston’s National Arena where Bob Marley performed in the hope to link Jamaica’s feuding political parties.

Festival No. 6

(6th-9thSeptember, Wales)

 This festival is seriously not one to be missed! It is hosted in Portmeirion which is a fantasy village that was created in the early 1900’s, it is full of surreal architecture and sub-tropical plants. Here you are able to completely escape from reality. The festival offers a yoga brunch, woodland runs, swimming, paddle boarding and massages. Not to mention the amount of great music acts from Franz Ferdinand to Lewis Capaldi.

The festival’s name takes reference from the TV show ‘The Prisoner’ which was filmed in Portmeirion and who’s main character was referred to as number 6.

 The London Yoga Festival

(13th– 14thOctober, London)

 Hosted by the British Wheel of Yoga Committee this short festival in London offers loads of different yoga seminars. There are also master classes, films and different experiences available. These are all taught by a variety of professional practitioners who all teach authentic yoga.

Wild and Well Festival

(20th-21stOctober, Bristol)

 This is a wellbeing festival that is suitable for anyone who wants to live healthier, happier and more connected to themselves and the world around them. It has four main focuses which are move, eat, connect and explore. In these four categories there are heaps of things available to do! Paddle boarding, wild cooking, mountain biking and wellbeing talks and workshops name but a few things that are on offer.
